  • Independently opened and operated a manufacturer's representative office in Japan. Coordinated sales to multiple distributors, implemented marketing initiatives, and assisted in product development.

  • Instigated and implemented an online database for a Japanese manufacturer of semiconductor test products allowing global access to important information. Also created and established two websites for my employers using Adobe's GoLive software.

    • Established a representative office in Japan. I held responsibility for client relationships in Japan. Researched market and reported recommendations to the board of directors for strategic planning. I managed distribution and marketing issues and facilitated market specific product development until Switch was consolidated into Vans Incorporated (Vans shoe company) in 1998.   • Marketing Assistant - NCS Corporation - Kawasaki (Japan)
    • Product: Smith Sport Optics, Lamar Snowboards, Winterstick Snowboards
    • As an assistant to the marketing director, I coordinated, developed, and integrated marketing schemes for brand building in Japan. I also held responsibility for the purchase and import of product. I managed daily correspondence with more than fifteen foreign suppliers including Smith Sport Optics mentioned above. Company was closed in 1997 when its parent company, Recruit Corporation, decided to exit the sports industry. August 1994 - February 1997
